Military & PCS Moves

Camp Pendleton
Movers

Camp Pendleton,
Straight Answer

Camp Pendleton is not one location, it is roughly 125,000 acres with housing spread across areas that are twenty minutes apart from each other. A move to Wire Mountain and a move to San Onofre are different jobs with different gate approaches, and quoting them the same way is how a crew ends up an hour behind before it lifts anything. We support personally procured moves, which means we do the packing and hauling and give you the documentation you need to file. We are not a contracted government carrier and we do not book moves through the military channel.

Which housing area decides the plan, not just the base name

Wire Mountain, Santa Margarita, San Onofre, De Luz, Stuart Mesa and the areas around them sit far apart. We quote to the actual address because drive time inside the fence is real time.

Gate access has to be arranged before the day

Our crews need to be sponsored or escorted according to current base policy. That is arranged ahead of the date under current base access policy, not at the gate at eight in the morning.

Weight tickets are the paperwork that pays you

A personally procured move reimburses against certified weight. Empty and loaded tickets from a certified scale are what substantiate it. We will get them and give you copies.

The I-5 corridor decides the start time

Anything crossing Oceanside between seven and nine or three and six loses real hours. Early starts are not a preference on this base, they are the difference between one day and two.

Off base is most of the work

Oceanside, Fallbrook, Vista and San Clemente carry a large share of Pendleton families. Those moves have no gate at all and often run faster than an on base move of the same size.

What A Pendleton
Move Covers

On base housing

All housing areas across the base. We quote to the address rather than to the installation, because the internal distances are significant.

Off base North County

Oceanside, Fallbrook, Vista, San Marcos, Carlsbad and San Clemente, where a lot of Pendleton families live.

PCS out of the area

Long distance to any state, run on our own trucks with our own crews rather than brokered to whoever bids lowest.

Packing and unpacking

Full or partial packing, and unpacking at the far end. Useful when one spouse is handling the move alone.

Storage between assignments

Short and long term storage when report dates and housing dates do not line up, which on this base is common.

Weight tickets and documentation

Certified empty and loaded weights, with copies for your PPM claim.

A Pendleton Move,
In Order

1

Quote to the actual address

We ask which housing area, not just which base. That drives crew size, truck placement and the start time.

2

Sort gate access in advance

Access arranged ahead of the date to current base access policy, so the crew is not held at a gate while your clock runs.

3

Empty weight ticket first

Truck weighed empty at a certified scale before we load, because a loaded weight without an empty is not a claim.

4

Load with the traffic window in mind

Early start, and the route out of the base planned around the I-5 crush rather than through it.

5

Loaded ticket and copies to you

Weighed again loaded, with copies of both tickets handed over for your paperwork.

Around Camp
Pendleton

We work the whole North County corridor around the base. Oceanside carries the largest share of off base Pendleton families, with a mix of older single story rentals and newer apartment stock near the 76. Fallbrook sits inland and rural, where driveways are long, gates are common and a full size truck sometimes cannot reach the door without a shuttle. Vista and San Marcos hold a lot of family housing at better value, and the streets are straightforward. San Clemente to the north is technically Orange County but functionally Pendleton, and the coastal streets there are narrow and permit sensitive. Carlsbad picks up officers and longer tours. We are a licensed California carrier, CAL-T #201759 and US DOT #4372335, family owned in San Diego since 1997.

Camp Pendleton Movers
Questions

Do you do PPM and DITY moves?+
Yes, that is most of our military work. A personally procured move means you arrange the move yourself and claim reimbursement against certified weight. We pack and haul, and we give you certified empty and loaded weight tickets. Filing the claim is yours to do, and your transportation office will tell you exactly what they want to see.
Are you a contracted military carrier?+
No, and we will not imply otherwise. We are a licensed California household goods carrier that a lot of military families hire directly. Moves booked through the government channel go to approved transportation service providers, which is a separate program we are not part of.
Can your crew get on base?+
Yes, with access arranged in advance. Base policy on contractor access changes, so access is arranged with you ahead of the date under current base access policy rather than turning up and hoping. Give us as much notice as you can, especially near the end of the month.
How do the weight tickets work?+
We weigh the truck empty at a certified scale before loading and again loaded after. Both tickets are what substantiate reimbursement, and a loaded weight on its own is not enough. Two more rules protect the payout: the transportation office (the DMO at Camp Pendleton) must approve the PPM before anything moves, and the settlement packet is due within 45 days of the move. You get copies of both.
Can you store our things between houses?+
Yes, and it is common when report dates and housing availability do not line up. Short or long term, quoted separately, and we can deliver out of storage when your date firms up.
Can you move us out of state?+
Yes, on our own trucks with our own crews. We are not a broker, so the company that quotes your move is the company that shows up. Our long distance page covers how interstate pricing works.
