The Part Nobody Tells You
WE'RE THE CARRIER, NOT A BROKER
Nobody resells your Las Vegas move: the company that priced it loads it, drives it over Cajon Summit, and unloads it in the valley. Carrier versus broker, explained.

Las Vegas Neighborhoods We Serve
Delivering Throughout
The Las Vegas Valley
The Las Vegas Valley is made up of distinct cities and master planned communities. We deliver to all of them, from gated Summerlin estates to Henderson suburbs to Downtown high-rises.
Popular Destinations from San Diego
Summerlin
The largest master planned community in Las Vegas, with quick access to Red Rock Canyon. Summerlin reports more than 300 parks and over 200 miles of trails. It is not entirely inside city limits: Summerlin spans the City of Las Vegas and unincorporated Clark County, so which office controls the curb depends on your exact delivery address. HOA move in procedures apply, and many sections are gated, so arrange the gate code before delivery day.
Henderson
Nevada's second-largest city. Quiet master planned neighborhoods, Clark County School District schools, proximity to Lake Mead, and easy Strip access via I-215. Popular with San Diego retirees and families.
Southern Highlands
The first major community off I-15 as you come in from California. Well-maintained master planned neighborhoods, newer construction, guard gated sections, and easy freeway access back to the coast. Guard gated sections need the gate code arranged before delivery day, and some HOAs want advance notice of a moving truck.

Why San Diegans Move to Las Vegas
The SD to Vegas Move
Is Bigger Every Year
California to Nevada is a heavily traveled relocation corridor. Here's what's driving the move, and what to expect when you get there.
No State Income Tax
Nevada has no state income tax. For San Diego professionals and business owners, this is often the single biggest financial driver. The savings compound fast, especially combined with significantly lower home prices.
Housing Affordability
The median home in Las Vegas is roughly half the price of comparable San Diego inventory. Many SD homeowners sell, move to Vegas, pay cash for a larger home, and still have money left over. Henderson and Summerlin offer high-quality suburban living at a fraction of SD prices.
Lifestyle & Climate
Las Vegas trades ocean breezes for dry desert heat, but also delivers a deep restaurant and entertainment scene, outdoor recreation at Red Rock and Lake Mead, and a growing arts and food scene in neighborhoods like Downtown and Summerlin.
Lower Cost of Living
Beyond taxes and housing, everyday costs in Las Vegas are meaningfully lower than San Diego, utilities, groceries, insurance, and services all tend to run cheaper. Many households find themselves with substantially more disposable income after the move.
Growing Job Market
Beyond hospitality, Las Vegas has expanding sectors in healthcare, technology, aerospace, and construction. Major employers have relocated or expanded in the valley. For remote workers already leaving San Diego, Vegas is an increasingly popular landing spot.
Outdoor Recreation
Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Lake Mead, Mount Charleston and the Spring Mountains are all within an hour of the Strip. Many San Diego transplants are surprised by the outdoor lifestyle available in the Las Vegas Valley.

Moving FAQ
Everything you need to know about making the move from San Diego to Las Vegas with Discount Movers.
How The Flat Rate Gets Set
We survey what is going before we price a Las Vegas move, in person or on a video call, and we sort the destination details too, down to the gate code a Summerlin section needs. The quote is a single flat rate covering the whole trip up I-15, put in writing before we load, with delivery on day 2. There is no deposit.
What The Truck Cannot Legally Carry
No household goods carrier may load hazardous materials, and the list is longer than most people expect. Propane tanks, including the one on the barbecue. Gasoline and the fuel in a mower or a generator. Aerosols, paint, solvents, pool chemicals, fertilizer, charcoal lighter, nail polish remover, and ammunition. Car batteries. Anything under pressure or anything that burns.
This is not a preference we could be talked out of. It is the rule that lets the truck cross state lines at all, and one leaking container can damage an entire load. Drain the fuel, use up or give away what you can in the two weeks before, and tell us about anything you are unsure of rather than quietly packing it. We would far rather answer the question than find it.
When The Two Dates Do Not Meet
Interstate moves very often have a gap: the house here closes or the lease ends on one date, and the keys at the other end come available on another. Sometimes it is three days, sometimes it is six weeks. Either way the answer is the same, and it is not a frantic sale of the furniture.
We store household goods, so the load can come off the truck here, wait, and go out again when the far end is ready, without a second company and a second set of hands on your things. Say on the first call which of the two dates is fixed and which is flexible, because that answer shapes the whole plan.
What We Do Not Do
Worth saying plainly, because the alternative is finding out late. We do not do international moves. We do not ship containers or portable storage pods. We do not transport cars, boats or motorcycles, and we cannot take one on the truck alongside the household goods. The one exception is a golf cart, which we do move; see our golf cart moving service.
What we do is household goods, in our own trucks, with our own crews, as the carrier rather than a broker reselling the job. If your move needs something on that first list, we would rather tell you now than take the booking and hand you a problem at the curb.
Plants, Pets And The Things That Travel Separately
Houseplants are the one that surprises people. They do not do well in a dark truck for several days, and moving them across a state line can run into agricultural rules at the far end. Our page on moving plants works through what actually applies. The short version is that treasured plants travel in the car with you or get given to a neighbor who will love them.
Pets never travel on the truck, and no reputable carrier will suggest otherwise. Plan their journey as its own trip with its own timing, and remember that the animal arrives into an empty house that smells wrong, so their bed and bowl belong in the car rather than in a carton.
