Route Notes
Utah is the simplest routing on our board: I-15 from San Diego to Salt Lake City, one road for ~750 miles. St. George is barely 435 miles — closer than many Northern California destinations — and has become one of the fastest-growing retirement and remote-work landing spots in the Southwest. The one geologically interesting stretch is the Virgin River Gorge through the Arizona strip, a canyon-cut section of I-15 that occasionally closes for rockwork; delays are rare and short.
Two Utahs show up in our bookings. Southern Utah — St. George, Cedar City — is warm, red-rock, and effectively a desert delivery. The Wasatch Front — Provo, Lehi’s “Silicon Slopes” tech corridor, Salt Lake, Ogden — is a mountain-valley metro where winter inversion fog and November–March snow are real scheduling factors. The drive stays interstate the whole way, so even January moves run reliably; we just keep a storm-day buffer in the window.
