Denver is ~1,080 miles, but the miles aren’t the story — the Continental Divide is. The direct line runs I-15/I-70 over the Rockies, where the Eisenhower–Johnson Tunnel tops 11,100 feet, the highest point on the interstate system. Colorado’s winter chain law applies to commercial vehicles on I-70’s mountain corridor, and in heavy storms we route the southern way in via I-25 instead. Either way the flat rate holds; routing is our problem, not yours.
Front Range destinations each pull differently: Denver and Boulder for tech and aerospace, Fort Collins for CSU and the craft-brew economy, Colorado Springs for the military cluster — Fort Carson, Peterson and Schriever Space Force bases, and the Air Force Academy. Altitude is worth respecting on delivery day: your crew is working at 5,280+ feet, and boxes feel heavier at elevation — one more argument for letting professionals carry the piano.

Sealed items can swell or hiss at 11,000 feet in transit — normal and harmless for most goods. What altitude really affects is labor: unloading at a mile high is exactly when you want a professional crew.
May through October crosses the Rockies without chain-law risk. Winter moves run fine with a storm buffer; the tunnel corridor clears fast because it has to.
