At ~2,740 miles, Delaware is a full coast-to-coast run — I-70/I-40 across the country, then the I-95 corridor for the last leg. That final stretch is the planning problem: the truck threads Baltimore and the DC–Philadelphia corridor, so delivery windows are set around Northeast traffic, and I-95’s Delaware toll plaza is simply part of the route. Once the truck is in-state, Delaware’s size becomes your advantage: Wilmington to Dover to the beaches is an hour’s drive, so delivery day is one day, anywhere.
Two Delawares show up in our bookings. Northern Delaware — Wilmington and Newark — is corporate country, the incorporation capital of America, pulling finance and legal relocations from California. Southern Delaware — Rehoboth, Lewes, Milford, and the Sussex County coast — is a retirement magnet, helped by no sales tax and comparatively low property taxes. Beach-area moves in summer get scheduled around Route 1 weekend traffic; a Tuesday delivery in Rehoboth is a different day than a Saturday one.
