What Does A Move
In Murrieta Cost?

Wine country and newer HOA communities make up most of what we move in Murrieta, and those are three mover jobs more often than two. Our own ladder runs $119 an hour cash for two movers up to $269 for five, and we publish every rung of it. We start at $169 an hour cash for three movers with a three hour minimum of $507, or $119 for two at a $357 minimum, plus a flat $75 fuel fee. The run up the 15 is quoted in writing rather than appearing at the end. No deposit, ever.

Knowing an address like California Oaks or Murrieta Hot Springs Road Corridor before the day is what lets a crew arrive with the parking and the access already worked out, rather than solving it on your clock. Full rate card and instant estimate (about 30 seconds).

Parking the Truck at a Murrieta Address

Many Murrieta homes are single-family houses in HOA tracts with a driveway, and the truck sits in the driveway or at the curb in front of the house. The City of Murrieta's vehicle parking rules make it unlawful to leave a truck, trailer or other commercial vehicle standing on an approved surface in the front yard setback, and the same page lists the exceptions, so read it before a truck is parked on the property for the day.

Occupying the roadway itself is a different question, for instance on a narrow cul-de-sac where the only workable spot for a 26-foot truck is the street. Murrieta Municipal Code section 15.54.040 requires an encroachment permit for work on existing city-maintained roads, applied for through the Engineering Department, and the city posts an encroachment permit fee calculator and lists the permit in its user fee schedule. Whether a temporary truck placement counts as work in the road is a question for that department, not for us. Tell us at booking whether the house has driveway access or only street frontage, and we plan truck position around that.

Water and Trash Service in Murrieta

Eastern Municipal Water District provides drinking water service to retail customers in Murrieta. You can open an account through EMWD's start service application online, or by calling customer service at 1-800-426-3693, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EMWD asks new customers to confirm first that the address sits inside its water service area, using the service area maps on its site, because not every Murrieta address is an EMWD account. Do this before the move date so the water is on when the crew unloads and you can run the dishwasher and shower on the first night.

Murrieta requires every residential property to have trash collection, and the city contracts with Waste Management for pickup. To set up new service or ask about a bill, start from the city's trash and recycling page, which lists the number to call and the collection rules, and set it up before the move so the first pickup is not missed.

Schools, DMV and Library After Arrival

Murrieta Valley Unified School District accepts new student enrollment throughout the year, with no cut-off dates or deadlines, so a mid-year move does not lock a child out. Registration is online through the district's new student enrollment page, and a registrar then reviews the file, which the district says can take one to two weeks from submission. The district lists the required documents on the same page; keep those papers in the car rather than in a packed box, since you will want them the week you arrive.

California requires you to report a change of address to the DMV within 10 days of moving, for your driver's license, ID card and vehicle registration. The DMV address change can be done online, or by submitting a Notice of Change of Address (DMV 14). For a Murrieta Public Library card, bring photo identification and proof of current residence; anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian present, and cards from several other Southern California city libraries are honored there.

Murrieta Moves: The Family Magnet

Murrieta is one of California’s fastest-grown family cities: masterplanned neighborhoods stacked with four-bedroom homes, three-car garages, and HOAs from Copper Canyon to Greer Ranch. Moves are big, access is good, and the school calendar owns the summer schedule.

Commuters and remote workers chasing value keep arrivals steady (many via our interstate service) and full packing is the most-requested add-on in households this size. Inland heat: early starts, June through September.
