Panel systems are a kit of parts that only goes back together one way. Panels are keyed to each other, power runs through the base of specific panels and enters the run at a designated feed, and the whole thing is dimensioned to a floor plan rather than to a room. So the work is mostly labeling and sequencing. Every panel, connector, bracket and power component gets marked to a position on the destination plan before anything comes apart. Rebuild then follows the plan instead of anyone’s memory.
Label to the plan, not to the room
Each panel, top cap, connector and worksurface is tagged with its destination position before teardown. Without that, a rebuild becomes a jigsaw and the hours multiply.
Power lives in the panels and has to line up
Base feed panels, power poles and jumpers are part of the system. The feed has to land where the floor has power. An electrician makes the final connection, our crews handle the panel side.
Panel heights and finishes are not interchangeable
Systems get bought in phases and a floor often holds two panel generations that look identical. Mixing them mid run leaves a step in the top line. We keep runs together.
The tile plan is the drawing that matters
Workstations get located from a floor tile grid. If your new suite has a different tile origin, positions shift. Our space planning service maps that before anyone lifts a panel.
Weekend and after hours is normal
Most cubicle work happens Friday night into Sunday so staff arrive to a working floor. Building access and freight elevator time gets booked with that in mind.

Job Includes
Panel systems
Herman Miller, Steelcase, Haworth, Knoll, Teknion and similar. Panels, connectors, top caps, worksurfaces, pedestals and overheads.
Power components
Base feeds, jumpers, power poles, receptacles. Handled on the panel side, with the final electrical connection made by a licensed electrician.
Storage and filing
Pedestals, lateral files, bookcases, tower units. Emptied or moved loaded depending on weight and travel distance.
Seating and monitor arms
Task chairs, monitor arms, keyboard trays. Arms come off and travel with the station they belong to, not in a pile.
Benching and open plan
Bench systems, height adjustable desks, screens and privacy panels. Motorised bases travel separately from tops.
The reset
Rebuild to the plan, level the runs, reattach arms and trays, and a punch walk with your facilities contact before we leave.

Count and identify the system
We record manufacturer, panel heights, finishes and how many of each part exist. Two generations of the same system on one floor is common and it changes the rebuild.
Agree the destination tile plan
Positions come off the floor grid. If you do not have a plan we can build one, which is what our office space planning service is for.
Label everything to its destination position
Before a single connector comes off. This is the step that decides whether the rebuild takes one day or three.
Teardown in run order
Runs come apart as units and travel together, so a run rebuilds from one set of carts rather than from a floor of mixed parts.
Rebuild, level and punch
Panels up to the plan, worksurfaces set, power components positioned for the electrician, then a walk with facilities to close out.

Cubicle work in San Diego lands in a few predictable places. Downtown towers mean freight elevator reservations, a certificate of insurance filed before the date, and strict after hours windows, so the plan is built around the building rules as much as the furniture. UTC and Golden Triangle mid rise offices are similar but usually easier on dock access. Sorrento Valley and Sorrento Mesa hold a lot of two and three story tilt up office space where the elevator is the bottleneck rather than the loading area. Mission Valley runs older multi tenant office stock with tight parking, and Carlsbad and the 78 corridor tends toward newer suburban campuses with grade level access, which is the fastest kind of cubicle move there is.
